“Boat has immediate acceleration when you hit the throttle. Nice speed. Water cooling works. My go-to boat for early morning runs when water is calm. Have to keep to smooth or glass like water. Can handle some ripples/waves but not too much. Stay away from windy conditions as she'll flip easily. Recovery rudder extension and prop work well in getting the boat back to shore. Greasing shaft is not difficult. Usually do after each run but have let it go for 2 or 3 runs sometimes if lazy. Just clean the shaft and regrease. I use hatch tape but still get water inside after each run. Have to use cut up sections of dish sponge placed in the back sides to help absorb the water. Thinking of installing an auto bailer to help. Overall very happy with this boat. Components are decent quality and not had any issues with radio losing range connection. Purchased in April of 2022.”

“There are three Bancroft boats with common electronic and mechanical components - the Madflow F1, the Rocket vee-hull, and the Monster catamaran. The Madflow and Rocket also feature self-righting via a flood chamber. The Monster features a 'rescue rudder' that allows you to steer the boat if it flips over. The propeller provides enough thrust to move the boat back to shore.I was hesitant about buying the Monster because it lacked self-righting, but the rescue rudder setup does work as I discovered on the maiden voyage. All three boats perform quiet well with speeds in the 30-mph range. The Rocket is the most stable of the three. The starboard side of the Monster has a tendency to lift under heavy acceleration, so I repositioned the battery to the flat area on the right side, parallel to the motor. An easy change and doing so increased the boat's stability under power.I'm happy with all three. They are good performers, not too expensive, and just about the right size for many bodies of water”

“Boat is very fast, unfortunately due to its smaller size it tends to flip. Be careful of the rudder hardware, they snap if you try to tighten them too much.”
