I am using these in small to medium sized airplanes (80-130 cm). For hinging ailerons, flaps, elevator, rudder.Pre-drill a hole in balsa or ply using a 3mm brass tube. Cut the hinge to length. Add some 5min epoxy in the pre-drilled hole. And finally insert the hinge into the hole.

These are awesome hinges, and work great. When the factory foam hinge tears on any of my airplanes rudders. I remove the rudder, and carefully mark holes in the rudder and fuselage. Then glue the hinge pins in, and the rudder never tears off again. I also use hinge tape on both sides.

These are of good quality, however if you are getting them for a true micro plane conversion they are huge. These would be great for 3' to 4' wingspan park flyer planes, but don't thing of using then on 2' or less you know micro. DU-BRO needs to know what micro means, and Motion needs to actually show the size because obviously micro don't mean micro.
