“product works fine, just wish the case was a little more robust, the strut snap ring is tricky business, had to take servo apart to get bent strut shaft out. a couple more successful landings on since rework.LOL”

“The “shock absorber “ retract struts sold by Motion and most of the other dealers are probably fine given their price point and only if used on a paved runway. Unfortunately I have to fly off of a rough grass field and the shock type struts just do not hold up even with good landings. I have sworn off of any airplane with this type strut and will only purchase airplanes with trailing link type gear, like on the Avanti. Those work very well on our rough field.”

“Installed main gears in plane and tested operation good. First flight, gears retracted ok, and extended properly for landing. Shortly after turn around to taxi back the nose gear retracted. Strange, to say the least, since the gears are controlled from a common source and both mains did not respond in kind. Later investigation revealed a burned wire on one of the new gears. Replaced the gear and all is well after several flights.”
“This was sent to me free of charge as part of a warranty replacement issue. Since replacing the starboard retract on my Freewing F86 it has worked wonderfully for five flights.”
