“I still fly some gas / glow and have replaced all my traditional NiCad / NiMh with these. Comes with the connector to plug directly into the receiver (or switch harness which all mine have) and lasts a long time. This chemistry produces a lower voltage so older receivers and equipment can tolerate it and work just fine. The drawback is you have to have access them to charge. I like to keep the wings on my smaller stuff, but I’ve made modifications to the battery installs so I can remove them to charge. I thought about just making extension harnesses to leave them in the airframes to charge, but the risk of a fire / or losing an airplane (and house) is not worth it. And typical motion RC excellent packing and shipping.”
