“I HAVE 5 OF THE 6S BATTS NO PROBLEMS AT ALL. I ALSO HAVE 6 OF THE 4S FOR THE P-38 AND HAVE NO PROBLEMS AT ALL. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THESE BATTS FOR THE PRICE. OH, BY THE WAY THE 6S ARE FOR F-86 F-16 F-15 AND RECENTLY, THE F-104. LOOKING FOWARD TO GETTING THE MIG-21.”
“Let me preface the review by saying that I have yet to take it up for it's maiden flight, so I can't offer an opinion yet on the most important piece -- how it flies. That said, I love the Freewing F-16. Well packaged, with only a couple of very minor dings. The plane went together well and fairly easily. The landing gear are spectacularly nice, the light package is impressive, and the overall fit and finish are very good. You have to be careful aligning the elevons at 7mm from the bottom ledge of the fuselage, as a very clear picture in the instruction manual illustrates. Beyond that, however, the manual is pretty weak, not giving you much guidance on which screws go where, but it's not difficult to figure out. The quality of the foam, paint, and detail is excellent. Care must be taken putting this plane together, however, without nicking up a couple of sharp edges toward the front of the fuselage just forward of where the wings are attached. Once I had it together, and programmed in flaperons, I took it out to do a maiden taxi in my driveway, and everything is working perfectly. the afterburner LEDs which activate at half throttle (I had the plane secured) really are impressive. I intend to fly it on your fairly short, well-maintained grass field. I'll do a follow-up review once I've flown it a few times. Overall, I'm really pleased with the quality (fit, finish, and landing gear) of this Freewing F-16...so far. This is my fourth Freewing model, and I consider them to be the best of my 20+ foamie warbirds, with the exception of my FMS 1400mm Mustang (V8 version), which flies beautifully and lands on grass even better than my Freewing Mosquito, if that is possible.”
