“This is the V2 version painted red as a V1 version. I can see significant improvements but I missed the note that the V1 gear would not fit properly. I think that MotionRC needs to make a comment in red right on the title about the changes in the fuselage.”

“Very nicely finished spare fuselage. Bought this as a replacement for a damaged white-red v1 fuselage. It is actually a v2 fuselage in the old colors. On the plus side you get the improved front gear doors, BUT! The front LG leg is 12mm shorter on the v2 so your v1 leg won’t fit. The old front wheel steering is very fiddly to fit in this one. And the elevator/ rudder assembly uses bigger screws on the v2 so you have to source the new screws yourself. So order the v2 leg and appropriate screws along with it and you are golden.”

“The fuse looked great, but was not an exact replacement for my original Avanti S. The replacement fuse is the same as the new AvantiS V2. It takes the shorter front main strut and the gear door system has been changed to the V2 version. Also the original canopy leaves a small opening at the rear of the fuse opening due to change on the V2 rear canopy. Course this is better than no fuse replacement at all. Colors match.”

“After waiting since May for the Red and White Avanti Fuselage to be in stock, I ordered it immediately upon notification that it was back in stock. I installed the fuselage last week (Jan 3, 2024). I may be mistaken but I think this is the version 2 fuselage that they put the Red and White/Black decals on. There were several issues with this fuselage: First, the mounting holes for the Horizontal and Vertical Stabilizer are larger than the original so the screws were not large enough. I found some screws that would work and got past that issue. Next, I found that the decals were not sticking well in several places. I added some glue to them. The next issue is that the steering servo location in the nose gear is moved back about an inch. So that means you have to shorten the steering linkage in order to make it fit and work properly. The next issue was that the wheel area was made (I assume) for the version 2 retract which is shorter. So when I retracted my nose gear, there isn't enough room for the wheel to retract inside. I had to use a Die Grinder with a sanding drum to remove about an inch of the front wheel well area so that the original retract had room to fit inside the wheel well area. And the last issue is that they changed the nose gear door closing mechanism. They did provide the new doors and parts but no instructions on how it all went together. Fortunately, I have a friend who has the version 2 Avanti and he sent me pictures of how the gear door mechanism goes together. While the fuselage will work, be prepared to tackle these issues.”
