Flies good and it’s a decent bang for your buck. Compared to other jets in the freewing lineup its landing gear is its weak spot. The plane has issues with the landing gear housing, as they keep on breaking on the slightest not so perfect landing....

I got several things sorted out and wanted to pass on what I did. The main gear had a serious toe out issue and that was causing the awful ground handling. It might steer off to either side with no warning. I’m sure that also contributed to the long takeoff rolls. After sorting that out, it tracks straight now on takeoffs and landings. My rudder channel is set to 50/50 (Spektrum). It was still not wanting to rotate on grass so I starting moving the battery (4000) back in small increments. Getting that weight off the nose was the trick and the new location is not impacting how it flies. It takes off now in half the distance. So it’s still hard to see and I just keep it closer. It still lands fast but a good high alpha setup brings it in with no issues. The initial craziness on the ground cost me a wing, both main gear, and the nose cone so it wasn’t a $279 jet after all. With that said, resolution of the toe out issue on the landing gear from the getgo would have really changed things for the better. There still are better 70mm jets out there but this one can indeed be beaten into submission. If you get one, good flying!

Gee wiz, if I had read all these negative reviews I might not have purchased one. But silly me, I bought one because of the great price and it looked cool. And I LOVE it !!!! Yes, its true, its difficult to take off on grass. Get it going as fast as possible then reduce power to 75% for one second so it can rotate, then re-apply the power. Voila ! This is a lifting body jet like the F16. So, when landing, you must slow down, then pitch up and re-apply some power to achieve the high AOA needed to create lift from the fuselage. It takes a little practice, its not as easy or effective as the F16, but its there. The ailerons linkage is junk. Lots of slop. 1/8 inch in travel worth of slop. That's terrible. My total aileron travel is 1/4. So ditch the stock linkage and install some ball links. The plane is difficult to see at a distance. Just keep that in mind. And I refuse to fly it on grey days.

An excellent jet!!Needs a long run on gras for take off but the flying performance is excellent even this small sice jet is very good to recognice in flight, the manouvers are like the real one and landing is completely uncritical.I would recommend this jet in any case!!

The jet was just ok in the air but It's hard for me to say because It was in the air for 2:10. It crashed into the ground and the motor smells burned. I'll take my licks and not shop at motion again.

No bugs! Flew perfectly with stock set-up. Can't speak to grass takeoffs b/c I fly at the club's field. Landing on grass however, does a great job slowing the plane down, but the gear is easily ripped free. As mentioned in multiple posts, Hey Freewing use glue! inspection of gear revealed very little glue was applied at factory. Anyway, plane is a joy to fly with no bad characteristics or wing stalls like the F-5. Doesn't need flaps, but they would be nice to slow it down.
