“Love the scale look of this F-35, I fly over grass only so I decided to take the gear out and used a 4000mah 6s lipo and this baby hand launched great, pointing it into the wind (7-10mph) at full throttle and tossed it at 30 degree angle bam no issues and climbs out great! Thanks Motion rc.”

“This was my first edf plane.This is a very nice looking jet but it is not for beginners,it is very easy to assemble, but it is very hard to get going and the landing gear is extremely delicate so you can't taxi it (I snapped the landing gear just taxing to the run way), so you have to hand launch it with is very difficult. Also it doesn't have very much power for its weight so it stalls very easily.”

“the hole on first screw on the stabilizer does not align. i cant put the screw. right now, i used a rubber cement to hold the left stabilizer. the plug on left hand side for the servo wings went inside. it s hard to pull it out to connect the wing servo. it took me ten minutes minutes to pull it out and connect. i used a long nose pliers but it s hard to get it out. i nearly tear it out just to connect it”

“Good little 70mm, pretty fast, looks good in the air and airframe sounds really cool. Several crashes during takeoff and a few repairs later, one major repair. First thing you need to do is make a simple brace for the nose gear to knock off the wobbliness it helped 100%. Second thing is deadin your rudder/nose wheel steering. I setup a switch for strictly that feature, in takeoff position it's set at 55% travel with 35-40% expo(futaba). Once in the air I flip the switch to regain travel if needed, most of the time I just leave it set until landing and ground control. I pretty much run elevators at 90-100% with 25-35% expo Third set your aileron rates at about 60%-ish and just put a gyro in, I use A3-L on 35-45% gain you will be amazed how tamed down it becomes. I originally hated this plane and deemed it a squirrely little unflyable turd! After mods and adjustments it has become one of my favorite little 70mm jets. Fourth, get some high vis trim tape and mark top wing tips or bottom, you will lose orientation even on a bright day at times. Keep a close eye on the elevator plastic hinges, check after and before each flight, I think those need to be redesigned in my opinion. If you fly fast and hard like I tend to do, it's just a matter of time before one side or the other lets go. I'm sure some folks are doing things differently and maybe scoffing at my setups, it worked for my jet. if you are having difficulty taking off and stable flight then these items will tame it down and make it a great little flyer. It also sets up perfectly on it's angle of attack on approach and landing all on it's own very nice. Mine also seems to fly a lot better with the adm 5000 vs the 4000, good luck with the flights and don't give up on it! I would not recommend as a 1st edf because of the initial squirelliness and untamed over active control surfaces.”

“I recently decided I was going to purchase my first RC Plane, the Freewing F-35 Lightning II V3. So I thought I would shop local and went to see if I could order it from my local hobby store. Unfortunately, after telling them this they told me they could order it but the plane looks cheesy and isn't a great plane for an amateur so I would likely crash it. The kicker is they then went on to suggest I buy the Freewing Avanti S High Performance which of course they had on hand, costs much more, and IMO looks much more cheesy than the realistic F-35. Needless to say I left and ordered the plane from MotionRC directly. My experience ordering with MotionRC online was in stark contrast with my experience at the local hobby store. My plane arrived quickly, in excellent condition, with a handwritten thank you, and after I accidentally damaged a small part during the build process they sent me two replacement parts for free. I love this plane and I look forward to getting quality service and products from MotionRC along my RC journey!”

“Excellent quality product, looks the part and detail is brilliant, I had slight problem with undercarriage breaking, doesn't like uneven grass although YouTube vid says it can stand up to it, apart from that an excellent product.”
