Freewing Vulcan High Performance 70mm EDF Sport Jet - PNP Reviews

4.7 Rating 161 Reviews
It's a great flying jet and will fly as good as the pilots skill. The only thing I will say is Don't use rudder when your coming in slow for a landing with flaps down. I wasn't lined up with the runway as good as I wanted to be so I gave it some right rudder when I was somewhere between 4 to 7 feet high, in a split second, it flipped over and hit the runway upside down. My pride was hurt more then the plane.

What a very nice little jet!! I bought it for having a simple and affordable EDF to use my 6S5400mAh 690g LiHV BoltX, and this Vulcan exceeded my expectation: it is FAST (especially if you put the timing to high - very simple to do even only with your transmitter), efficient (I get >6min of mixed motor time while using

I've not flown it yet as the foam "hinges" began separating as I was simply testing the Rx and measuring throws. Rather than actual hinges, there's just a small amount of foam that is left uncut to act as a hinge. They do include some cheap clear plastic pin hinges in the box (so they realize it's a problem). I bought Dubro pin hinges and installed them. I know this is supposed to be an affordable plane but Freewing, let's INSTALL quality hinges so control surfaces don't fall off. I'm hoping that it will be a good flyer but for now wishing I'd stuck with the Avanti

I never received the product put a claim through FedEx and Motion RC and have not heard from anyone. Pretty disappointed about this I have not spent much money with Motion RC, but I have bought planes before and never had an issue. I feel like my money was stolen. This seems to be par for the course lately when purchasing products online.

To date I only have three flights on the model. I am using a 5200mah size pack and at our altitude of 5000 feet it handles the extra weight very well. It flies great.

This is actually my second Vulcan. I bought the first one last year and it was my favorite jet to fly. I was doing a low pass and I had forgotten the weeds were over 6' tall in some areas of the field. I clipped a weed and crashed. It was a spectacular crash. I went home and ordered another one. I flew the second Vulcan for the first time this last weekend and it flew just as well as the first (I did fly it a little higher on my low passes.) Assembly is super-fast and only took a total of maybe 30 minutes. Now I have a good 70mm fan laying around. F-22 ARF plus??
