“Plane arrived on time and looks great. However on assembly noticed ground wire on right elevator servo connector had been crimped too tight and cut the wire. Awaiting replacement servo which is why the 4 star rating. Everything else tested great but can’t fly it yet.”
“The product has not yet been delivered. FedEx has not been able to get custom clearance. Still held up. If you can please assist in clearance. Thanks”
“Lots of great features, plastic reinforcement in the right places, quick remove wings, excellent power and flight times. very stable or very agile depending on you setup. stock setting fly smoothly and I can still do high alpha. I already had the stock power system at home from another project this plane is excellent for anyone who's flown EDFs before. Only Gripe? motions website says it has the gyro with it and it does not.”

“I think I like this one more than the 90! My 90 is 8s so this one is super convenient to pack up and throw in the car for transport— especially with the quick release wings. The 80 mm has all the great flight characteristics of the 90 mm just in a slightly more compact size. And I love the extra scale details they added on this one compared to the 90”

“1st my customer service and product experience with MotionRC over several years has been excellent. It keeps them as my primary vendor for a variety of hobby products. The Freewing F-22 80mm is really tops in the 80mm class. It has all the versatility and maneuverability of the 70mm F-22 and the stability of the 90mm. The addition of plastic reinforcement in areas prone to foam handling damage and upgraded features demonstrates Freewing's responsiveness to the customer experience. I have purchased various ARF version models but this has been the easiest to assemble. The wire run from the EDF bay to the battery compartment is very short and easily accessible. The stock 100 amp ESC setup fits perfectly without having to lengthen / shorten the battery or throttle control wiring. The ARF version does not come with the gyro controller, but the platform built for its placement is a great place to mount a gyro stabilizing receiver near the center of gravity (C/G).The model's fit and finish was excellent and assembly was fast and easy. All the control surfaces, under carriage and lighting features worked perfectly once assembled. All the control deflections and stabilator trims were set according to the manual. C/G was achieved at the molded markings merely by shifting the battery forward or back. No additional weight was required. The maiden flight was spectacularly uneventful. Mid-flaps set, 3/4 throttle and the model accelerated quickly and straight. Slight back pressure and it lifted off smoothly. Under carriage / flaps up and the model continued to climb and accelerate at a positive rate. No trimming required. The model is very stable and performs all the basic EDF aerobatics and maneuvering. Flights of 4 - 5 minutes is possible with throttle management with a 4000 mAh battery. More detailed 5th generation fighter maneuvering are pending.Landing is equally uneventful. Throttle at or slightly above idle in the approach with a positive nose attitude and the model rides a stable final approach to a main wheels touchdown.Freewing and MotionRC have a real winner here.”

“The title is a copy from what I said about the new 70mm F-22 just released and this s heads above better!Amazing upgrade, FW just gets better and better.I had a fan and ESC so I got this kit. $80 off is okay but since the kit doesn't include the PNP's gyro I think it should be $100 cheaper.I bypassed the MCBe for tailerons and flaps mixed to ailerons for full span ailerons. I also pulled the main gear doors from the MCBe to have dual stage doors where they close with the gear down (should have come like this out of the box).Lots of battery room and easy to get a balance significantly aft of the 115mm marks if wanted.Great job FreeWing!”
