“First of all, one I got was assembled wrong. Working with tiny clip was not easy but done by a coworker. Response from MotionRC should have been more willing to replace it, but suggest that I fix it. This is a replacement part and despite its awesome look, shaft material is extremely soft. Original was bent on a bit hard landing. Trying to straightening it only made it worse creating emboss on shaft. Unevenness on shaft disabled vertical travel. I had to get this replacement. Buddies at field who got same T45 all say landings have to be perfect.”

“Aesthetic strut should be reinforced to hit a hard stop in the channel absorbing the force from front gear hyperextension. I’ve modded my T-45 for this and makes the strut actually support the nose gear instead of just looking pretty and holding the landing light lamp straight.”
