“Too fragile for a grass field landing no matter how smooth the strip is. Not horrible on a smooth paved or concrete strip. Breaks on the ball end. When it does (notice tif not used) a small hole can be drilled in the broken area for a very short piece of piano wire. CA the wire in and you're good to go for a while longer. Also breaks in the middle Channeled area. a piece of square brass tubing can be CA'd in at that break.”
