This is an excellent upgrade from the original landing gear. It completes what is a beautiful model of the A-10.

Great product for a very good price. Not only is it good for those that have the benefit of a paved runway its also great for those of us that have upgraded the A-10 to the twin 90mm Spec. What a sweet sound running counter rotating JP 90mm Metal Fans.

I fly off a geofabric runway and I can report that after 10 flights on both the original trailing-link main gear and now this new style that the new style seems to be a significant improvement (not to mention an improvement aesthetically). After 9 flights on the original mains without issue, my last landing (of course it's always the LAST one) came with the dreaded bounce which bent the nose gear and cracked the nose gear mounting bracket. I feel that on a high-sink rate approach, what causes the bounce is the original main gear really launch this plane back up and force a severe negative pitching motion onto the nose gear which takes the remaining brunt of the bounce energy. The nose gear will then either bend, break, launch the plane back up into the air at a low airspeed (setting up a classic pilot-induced oscillation situation), or any combination. Now I am the first to admit that my particular bounced landing was definitely pilot-induced, but it was disconcerting to know what might await a less-than-perfect approach with the original main gear design. The original style mains actually might be better for grass fields because the action on them is really impressive, but for the geomat runway (which can be a little springy anyway), these new mains seem to work much better so far. I absolutely LOVE this jet and these new mains seem to have fixed one of the few weak spots it has.
