“When they didn't have any spare parts for the connecting pin of my F7F, they found another model that used similar retract mechanism and found the connection pins that would fit my airplane. They went out of their way to assist a customer.”
“This is a good drop-in fit. It's designed to break before your main gear rip out of the fuse, so that's a positive. The negative is that the struts on the F-22 aren't trailing link and they don't handle any shearing forces well, nor do they compress reliably so I have to buy stock in these pins.Freewing trailing link struts rock. I've never needed one of these pins on any other jet but the F-22. The struts on the F-22 are not great and don't handle rough surfaces well..the only time they work well is if you drop it in on a carrier landing on a perfectly flat surface. Land or take off flat and soft on a bumpy surface and you'll need a lot of these for the roll outs or takeoff runs.”
