This is my second MIG29 after an unfortunate problem with radio.I had just upgraded my old MIG29 to include the new 12 blade fans and 3658-2150kv motors which is a great improvement.. Fans and motors survived the crash, so just bought the ARF version. Was disappointed with the wing spar which did not fit properly (loose) and had been sanded down. This is a major safety concern as this is a large model and only has the one spar. Motion RC replaced the spar with a better one but still did not fit as well as the previous model spar. The model is really nice and flies well but needs the larger pilot (which is available as a spare elsewhere in Motion). The blue box has been changed and now does not have the plug socket for the double action gear door mod. Has a switch which is useless as it just switches the gear doors off or on but with no option for putting them up while on the ground. Luckily my old blue box was ok so I used that. All in all I love this jet but could do with a few fine tunes!

This bird is an absolutely incredible performer. I had the stock ESCs and motors in hand so I decided to get the ARF model of the MiG-29. The design of this model is very well thought out and putting it together was very quick and easy. Definitely follow manual instructions on elevator position for correct setup. Using High rates the MiG-29 rolls with authority. Power is ample as well with impressive vertical performance and I clocked mine at 118mph in level flight. Using two Zeee 5200mah 100C packs, I'm getting just above 3 minutes of useful throttle time. This bird is absolutely a gem and I highly recommend it!

I wish I would have known about the $699 & $799 modles before I bought the $599 one. I would have bought the $799 one. Also it would have been nice to have the camo one or a plane primered one. But all in all I like it and looking forward to getting the B-2 in the future.

After i converted a 90mm FW F-16 last year i considered to built a Foam Jet with two Turbines. The perfect Model seemed to be this Mig-29. And it is! Everything works perfect with the 2 Xicoy x45 light. The only thing is that the Elevator Servos have to be replaced. I got the Mig with the Upgrade Servos installed. For EDF flights they might be ok, but for 6600 gr MTOW and 90N Turbine Power they won't. So i installed some Hitec HS-5245. Also i glued in both Rudders to distribute the forces from the Elevator better into the Fuselage. Fueld up CG is at stock 140mm and its ok. She flies really great with this Setup.

This is my 2nd one used for turbine conversion with X-45 turbine. Excellent flyer. My favorite of all the FW jets. Some mods needed for best performance all well covered in the threads. Highly recommended jet.

I recommend separating the batteries: one for the engines and a separate one for the controls. This is to avoid Voltage drop at high rotations which causes blackout/dead stick.
