“Purchased the FlightLine Spitfire Mk.IX 1200mm (47) Wingspan - PNP and is just about completed. Not yet flown but im sure it goes like a dream. Impressed with the attention to detail and the friendly service. Not so happy with the shipping but that is a non controllable factor.”

“Received the kit two days after order. Quick delivery. Easy assembly and set up. Nosed over on takeoff, but after small adjustment to CG and trim, took off and flies really well. Love all of the scale attachments.”

“I have the 1600mm FlightLine Spitfire and thought I'd try the 1200mm version. I like it. I would give it 5 stars but for a couple of nagging factors. First the good. This is a pretty airplane and it flies great. Assembly is straightforward and no different than any other foam airplane I've put together. I fly it with the Admiral RX600SP receiver with gyro off (for now) and Admiral 3000 4-cell batteries shoved all the way forward for balance. Now the not-so-good.The wing above the split flaps is very thin and mine came from the factory warped so the flaps wouldn't set straight. A damp cloth heated in the microwave allowed me to bend the warp out and it has stayed fixed. The smaller decals, such as the wing tip trestle markings were a challenge, parts tend to fall off the transfer. That is more an operator challenge I think. The factory-installed roundels on the bottom of the wing are not centered on the ailerons, making it impossible to put decals in scale locations. Hey, are you buying it for scale or to have a neat warbird to fly? The wings are held on with sheet metal screws rather than machine screws with brass nuts like other airplanes I've built. I worry about longevity and so leave the wings on as the airplane fits well in the car without disassembly. The motor is also held on with sheet metal screws. I've had no problem but a club member has had the motor come loose in flight. Make sure the prop is balanced. He did, and it still came loose. He drilled the mount out and used longer, self-tapping machine screws Nothing is perfect. The propeller doesn't track straight, but balanced it flies OK. The spinner wobbles a bit at the tip. I noticed the same thing on the 1600mm version. So far it hasn't caused a problem. The spinner/prop design is not as robust as other airplanes I've built. The 2-blade upgrade may be a good solution. All in all, I still like the airplane. I think the engineering could have been a bit better for wing and motor mounting and the spinner/prop combination, but total package is good and it works. I recommend the FlightLine 1200mm Spitfire for an intermediate flier who wants an attractive little warbird that flies well.”

“this is the most detailed spitfire out there, parts are reliable, landing with little bounce without dubros upgrade. On 4s this bird performs just great, if not slightly lackluster compared to the same sized spitfire by parkzone. Mostly due to weight and thrust, but the upside is that you will get at least 30 seconds more flight time out of it.If you are a spitfire nut like I am you need to get his one, it sits in your garage being so beautiful begging you to go out and get some flight time with it.I recommend this aircraft to all warbird enthusiasts”
