I have been using this component as a replacement for the connecting pin on the nose gear strut for the Freewing F-4 Phantom. It works great except for two things other than the fact it was not made for this use.1, it is stronger than the stock unit so it bends instead of breaking and 2, you have to modify the flat section to be able to use it by making it longer for the F-4 as well as making the diameter of the head smaller to fit the F-4 trunion.

The prior reviewer is a friend and I wanted to correct his typo concerning pin diameter. The axle diameter is 5mm and has a length of 38mm. GB's comment regarding use as an alternative nose gear pin for the A-10 is spot on.

These also work for for the nose gear pin on the Freewing A-10 if you cut the shoulder down a little.
