“I recently bought a PNP 90mm EDF jet and was concerned that EDF would draw more power than the ESC was rated for. I connected the watt meter between the ESC and flight battery and was reassured that the EDF at full throttle was well below the rated limit of the ESC. I also found that nose gear door servo was stalled with the gear up and drawing 140mA. Adjusting the linkage solved that issue. With linkage correctly adjusted and measuring the current draw at full throttle, I was able to calculate flight times and set the flight timer on my transmitter for the maiden flight. I haven’t tried this on any of my propeller planes, yet. I’ve always gone with recommended propeller sizes. Instead of assuming, I can use the watt meter and know for sure if that the propeller is correctly sized for the motor.”

“Purchased the GT 180a power meter a couple of weeks ago. Upon opening the box it was larger than I thought it would be. The look and feel of it seems to be of good quality. I haven't soldered any connections on yet to use it but I have hooked up a battery. The display is backlit in blue and the readout is black. Should be visible in bright light. Amps, watts, volts, mah are all there. I only give 4 starss because I haven't actually used it yet. I'll update review later. Thanks MotionRC, keep up the good work. AirHammer out!!”
