“I remove the black housing to save some bulk and use 1/2 heat shrink to insulate. I also do some soldering that saves a bit of wiring for turning lights on and off. The result is one side plugging into the reciever and the other a female servo-type connector that the lights plug directly into. (pictures below).The black (negative) side of power is just a pass through, so you can connect either of the black wires to your output connector. (With this set up you do not need both black wires, so you could remove the unused one).One of the red wires is desoldered from the ouput transistor and attached to the red input lead on the other end of the board. (That then becomes a shared input (positive). The other red wire then becomes the output for positive to the servo-type connector.If you choose the wrong red wire as your output, you will notice that the lights simply stay on all the time. It does not harm the switch if you get it wrong, simply swap the red wiring and you will be good to go.Any female servo connector will work for the modified output and you won't need the yellow or white signal wire on the output, so you could remove that from your servo connector as well if desired.It is easier than it sounds and these switches are in nearly everyone of my planes.”

“Bought 2 of these because I thought mine was broken.Connected Servo connector to receiver,Connected female to 12 vdc.Connected make to led light bar.When turning on the power light still went on, even tho I used the switch to switch it off.Light only dims a little bit, but it's still on when switching.To bad it doesn't work.”
