“These Hobbyeagle gyros are the best ! On regular mode, they just smooth out flights and you don’t even know it’s there. But if you flip it to auto hover and crank up the gain on the transmitter, a plane will hold a sold hover for minutes! I can even set my transmitter down on the ground, and that hover will stay rock solid! If even looks like I know what I’m doin……..but I don’t!”

“Software update spot-on, quality of the used materials is great, lightweight but not brittle. Manual on the web is clear, programming by programming box works great, programming by pc in my case laptop works without any problems, testing in the plane looks as advertised, programming is not that difficult but you need the manual for proper understanding of the Giro. Will soon test the unit in anger (in air), but looks very promising.”

“I bought 2 of these. the only way I can get them to work is to rename all of my channels in my radio so they match what the instructions show. you cannot just set up a new model with futaba's stock setup of ch 1 elevator ch2 rud ch 3 throttle ch 4 ail. nothing works and the gyro doesn't even power on until you change it all around to how hobbyeagle's instructions have it. but then I lose functionality of my radio. I can no longer assign switches correctly, I can no longer use a throttle cut etc etc. but the gyro works. I don't know if it's just my radio or the limitations of the gyro. I've tried to ask many people at the field and on forums and they all think it's a limitation of the gyro. futaba doesn't provide any information on what kind of output this radio is PWM PPM etc. so i'm not recommending this gyro with a older (2010)futaba radio system. it doesn't seem to function properly. but 2010 isn't that old.”
