Really good response on track operation. Proportional speed for both tracks, forward and reverse, so you can be moving and make almost any radius circle desired. It can spin in place on smooth finished concrete (did not try another surface)
appx 260 degrees of rotation of the excavator body in relation to the tracks.
the bucket and boom operate in a cycle which will infinitely repeat, forward or reverse. Fairly well can simulate the normal operation of an excavator, but there are not separate boom vs bucket vs boom extension operations. Still, pretty good for the cost of this little thing.
We're looking at an appx $30 "toy" that I expect could only dig loose sand or similar...
While 1/64 is not to scale for HO (1/84 if I remember correctly) railroads, there are large excavators this could simulate for HO railroad setups... And that's where I plan to use this.
S gauge model railroads are 1/64, but none I know of are currently being made.”
