“got the pro model, very nice rc/ir tank for the money. nice camo paint, metal parts where you need them. great engine sounds to choose from, operates and handles very well. (could use a larger 7.4 volt battery). very easy to assemble. the only downside is that you cannot change the number of shots the tank takes before it restarts in ir mode. and the firing of the main gun is too fast to compete with other tamiya compatible tanks. maybe every 3 seconds, or have some way to choose between 3-9 seconds. Tamiya rc/ir tanks varies these speeds by whether its a light tank, med tank or heavy tan. im sure this could be a programming issue. I would have given it a 5 star if not for these issues. Still i like it very much, and when fighting my taymia friends, i just count away the seconds to make the battle more even.... A very fine rc/ir tank for the money........”

“The tank itself is great. The instructions am almost non-existent. Very poor. It takes a lot of trial and error to figure out how to fire the main gun. A little bigger battery would give a little longer run time.But it is a fun toy and a good conversation piece at the flying field”

“I wanted to be the first at our flying field with a model that is crash proof. I had high hopes for my new Panther Tank. No I did not crash it but I was a little disappointed that it did not perform as advertised. The main gun remains silent and no BBs are fired in anger. No recoil is visible as promised. I can not run up and down the flight line blasting airplanes. Bummer.It is a beautiful model and a lot of fun to play with. It is very realistic. I think it will be a real conversation piece at the field, if it were not a toothless panther.The instructions that are written in a butchered version of English refer to a switch inside of the turret hatch that controls the main gun. It is not to be found. There is a port for the infrared sensor that may be where a switch is supposed to plug in, but the instructions make no reference to it.For $139 the Panther Tank is a great buy. I will have a lot of fun with it, even if it is toothless. It is not the norm of MotionRC quality, but it is Chineese thru and thru.ED”
