“Just got this the other day and have run it a few times. Controls are very smooth and there are a lot of functions. I really like the fact that it can be either airsoft or IR without modifications. I have a Torro Tiger 1 early model and it is way heavier, about twice the price and if you want to do IR you have to disassemble the tank and change out the gun. All the little add on accessories are nice. The tank overall looks to new as do the accessories so I'm going to break out the airbrush and do so weathering. After I get done with it I'll see if I can reopen the review and add a picture.”

“I've so far enjoyed this model. I built and operated two Tamiya tanks in the past and I have to admit, it was so nice being able to just charged the tanks battery and insert the six double A's, and run! It sounds great and my cats just love it (they do not). For the price, this is one of the best r/c vehicles I own. I should also mention I purchased it to go with my Land Craft (LCU) and it works great with it as well. Hit the beach drop the ramp and off you go!”

“Pluses are half the price, superior progressive acceleration, On/Off switch in front hatch, volume control on transmitter, more radio adjustment settings plus is half the weight of the Torro for longer battery run time. Negatives is the HL version has a 105mm howitzer, so it definitely not a "main battle tank" as would be the case with the 75 mm gun. but can pretend to be the 75mm version, knowing that the barrel is too big in diameter for a 75mm gun. Disappointed that the steel tracks are not painted as is accurately reflected in the photos; seems common with HL steel tracks. Of course can paint yourself. The tank operates great especially compared to the Torro with it's far to sensitive progressive acceleration. Tank has both IR and BB shooting functions. Torro has one or the other. the Torro IR verion has a light muzzle flash on shooting which the HL does not have, but means no BB shooting as is wiring in the barrel. Open question is will it be as durable as the Torro given less use of metal components. However key components such as gear, wheels and tracks are metal in the Pro version. Conclusion is the HL version is good value for the money but worth the extra for the Pro versions metal components. Comments assume H.L. Version 7.0 as have upgrades over the earlier 6.0.”

“I had saved up my money for a Go Kart and then I bailed on it and was like Hmm, what should I spend this money on? and then, my phone goes off, NEW TANKS COMING TO THE MOTION RC STORE! I quickly went to the Motion RC website and got this tank and got it in the mail in I think under two weeks, which is okay for free shipping. I opened it up and was driving it around the house in five minutes! The Add-Ons that come with it take longer to put on (Like 2-4 hours if you take your time) but they make the tank look SO! Damn. Good. I got the Professional Version which came with the metal parts and I love this thing! The Lights! The Smoke! The Sound Effects! All my life I was dreaming for a RC Tank and here it is. This is a Tank that I would say is worth probably $250 not $190! This Tank is a bargain! If you're a parent who is looking for a tank for your kid or grandkid, this, or ANY of the 1/16th scale tanks are amazing! So stop wasting your time reading this review! Go on and give Motion RC and Heng Long your money so you can play to your heart's desire ASAP! Also looks good with any other 1/16 scale aircraft!”

“There was a little damage on rear light. But really not a big deal. After I weather it.I will make it look like battle damage.The tank controls are awesome. For the price it’s a good deal. The metal tracks work well. And for outside use it’s works well.”

“What Motion RC did to the quality of RC Airplanes the have done to the 1/16th scale HengLong RC tank. They took an at best mediocre RC tank and worked with the manufacturer to bring its product quality up substantially. Right out of the box these tanks run really great. To rivel that of more expensive tanks. They look good out of the box. However with a little artistic effort you can make a really great looking tank.I am planning on buying more of these tanks from Motion RC as they become available and my budget allows.I would and do recommend to everyone to buy your HengLong tanks from MotionRC.com.
