“I love this tank! It's big. It runs good and as far as the mechanics it's awesome. The only thing I should have done is glued on most of the detailed parts that are added before you take the dirt. I lost half of the press fit parts do to vibration and just cruising the vacant lot. I'm going to need buy another set of parts when they become available. My other three tanks are the pro version with metal tracks and such. This tank seems a little whimpey compared to the heavier brothers but that is just my perception, it is really built like a tank. I love it, but I might buy the metal track upgrade but not for a while. But I will definitely buy another set of detail parts and a bottle of glue as soon as available . I cant fault the tank for my lack of glue, so I still will give it five stars all day long.”

“The Heng Long Challenger II tank out of the box is a well painted detailed scale representation of the Challenger tank with minimal airbrush weathering and detail painting needed to bring out the high-resolution molded details. Although the press fit assembly is adequate a small drop of CA glue will fixture some of the smaller details better. The tank was purchased as a display piece however a brief operation demonstrated a smooth operational mechanical system. Some assembly points are limited and reference to photos of actual tank are useful.”

“This is the first R/C tank I have ever owned, I just usually have trail vehicles. It is an exceptionally detailed tank and sounds real when it it running. I will not be doing tank battles with anyone, just me driving around the yard. I opted to just stick with the upgrade model vs. the professional because of what I have read about weight and battery time. I did purchase an additional suggested 3400mah battery to supplement the one that came with the tank. So far it runs great. I was having an issue with a continuous clicking/fan sound when I first turned it on. After posting on HobbySquawk it was suggested to turn off the smoke generator. That was the problem, I did not realize it had been running. For the price point, this is a really nice vehicle.”
