“The tank is very good. Customer service is corporate run. After putting all accessories on, found the smoke generator not working. After talking with DEREK vie email, he gave me some pointers. None worked, took it apart, fan had become detached during shipping. Burned up the unit. Was able to kinda fix it. Sent a video. Asked for a $14 dollar generator. Was told to take pictures so they could warranty it. I said I'm not taking it apart to show you. So much for self reliance. This " Just send it back" attitude is one of the thing wrong with America.”

“The Heng Long Merkava IV Pro is not a beginners tank due to the intricate details (especially the chains/balls) which make the model really pop! The weight of the Merkava Pro is great and seems appropriate. The many sprues make the add-ons take about 2 hours but the balls/chains appears to be a challenge by themselves. Wish somebody would aftermarket them assembled.”

“Beautiful model, performs are per the model specifications. The reason it only gets a four star not five star is that some of the accessories were missing from the box.”
“This is my first R/C model tank, and I was blown away by all the features, performance and the meticulous attention to details that Heng Long put into this. It's RTR out of the box, after charging the battery, which I did; but be prepared to put in a couple hours assembling the final details. There are no less than a dozen racks and bags of parts, in addition to decals that need to go on to get the full effect. The one hang-up I experienced was installing the metal wheel hub caps on the metal road wheels. The trick (as I found out from a friend who purchased a similar tank and had the same problem) is to use a pair of channel-lock pliers to press fit the caps on the wheels. Don't ream out the holes in the wheels using a Dremel tool! The channel-lock pliers worked great. There are FIVE of us who all purchased different HL tanks that are dying to head out to the desert for a battle using the IR battle system!”

“Overall, I would recommend the Heng Long IDF Merkava MK IV Professional Edition 1/16 Scale Battle Tank. I was pretty disappointed to learn that this model does not allow you to rotate the tank turret 360 degrees. One other annoying feature about this tank is the crew exit on tank will not stay closed and is always falling open. I believe this can be remedied with a magnet or some glue. Not the end of the world. Other than that, the tank is pretty awesome.”

“Let’s see…some seventy years ago put together the 1955 Atomic Cannon and two gun transporters (U.S. Army’s largest caliber mobile artillery piece…1/32 plastic)…think that it may have been a Revell model…but who can remember that long ago…amazing as it may sound I think that it is still in some of those long ago boxes stored up in my attic…but again…who can remember.
