“I purchased the 81” SBD-5 Dauntless “package” with 5 servos included and began assembly. I centered the servos with a CCPM Servo Consistency Master connected to a Spectrum 7.4V LiPo reciever battery. Upon full assembly I put the plane in an inflight condition by powering up and the outboard servo began smoking and burned out. I purchased two more servos from Motion for a just in case and replaced the defective servo. In manufacturing there is always the off chance of a defective one getting thru. The second servo was plugged into the centering device and immediately began smoking and the case began to melt. As a precaution I purchased two more servos. One of the newly acquired pair of servos does not work at all. Therefore I would like to return three Hitec HS-82MG Metal Gear Micro Servos. I hopefully believe that at some point I can get this plane in the air with everything working. On a side note do you have any inkling as to when the back ordered retracts for this plane will be in or do you have a suggestion for a replacement that will fit the struts supplied with the kit.
