“I know these are primarily sold as replacements for Fliteline/Freewing foamies, but I've been using them in my ARF builds for a while and had very good luck with them. I prefer to use the digital metal gear variety and so far no failures. Many ARFs seem to designate servos much larger than necessary. These 17G servos are great for ailerons and flaps if they aren't too huge. For the fuselage, I usually go for 30G to 65G depending on the model, and if the servo is moving two pushrods.”

“Ordered 2. They work well and are fairly quiet. The only negative is they weigh 20 Grams, not 17. Not a big deal unless you are using 2 or more, then the CG in your plane will need to change.”
