FlightLine 5055-390Kv Brushless Motor Reviews

Needed some 50xx size motors for a 93 ASM A-26. Have been a long time user of FMS motors as a modder but decided to eval this large size FL motor just released on the Spitfire for my project twin build. The large FMS motor that I am very familiar with is the 5060-360kV.First and biggest win for the FL was the price which was $26.50 less.My only concern now was that the power rating appeared to be an extremely low equiv to the FMS' 1800W(as well as other equiv sized motor manuf) when the spec sheet states 950W. Before buying it I questioned this spec and was told by Wayne that he thought it was a typo and probably should be 1950W (but would have Alpha confirm it) and would readily accept it back if I ordered it before getting a reply back and found differently from testing about that rating if it didn't meet my expectations.I ran the motor on a 6S 4000 40C Admiral with a MAS 16x10x3 prop for 30sec @ WOT and drew 1100W and 44A (64A is max rating). The motor was stone cold which leads me to believe that the max watts rating of 950W is a typo error. The quality/performance I rated as a reserved good and I'll provide an update on these once they are in the A-26 Invader and get some air time on them for bearing
