“Although the model builds nicely, and is a decent flier, unless you have a trailer or extra large vehicle for transport, the poor design results in a model that is at best , so difficult to assemble and transport it’s not worth the trouble. Requires a custom stand, or 2 people for assembly as the center pod acts as the base for wing/boom assemblies, not to mention the snakes nest of required wiring for each boom. If Esc are mounted in booms there is inadequate cooling for them and if moved to center section it results in even more connections required …if you check the forums you will find lots of time and effort devoted to the kludgy pull-pull nose gear steering. Unusual servo size required.Could be so much better but…”

“Although it’s a good looking bird, this ARF has some issues. The one thing that fit me, was the need to install 6 long wire leads to move the ESC’s to the cabin. No place in the manual, does it tell you this (adding extra weight, to an already heavy bird) needs to happen. The glass parts (especially the engine cowls), require some rework to make them fit correctly.I took a chance buying another MRC (Nexus) ARF, and I’ll buy no more of them. They still lots of work, before they are a quality ARF maker.”

“I've been flying mine for about a year now. Running Eflite 52's with three blade props with 5S packs. I used the Eflite 90 degree 120 size retracts for mains and nose with the supplied struts. I used the A10 esc package as specified by many of the previous pilots of this bird. Have had many enjoyable flights with this bird. I wouldn't hesitate to get another one if I lost my current one.”

“Bought the retracts, big mistake. Didn’t fit had to modify. The front gear unable to retain due to no retaining c clamp! Had to shorten the main gear but works fine. Afraid I’ll lose nose gear in flight. Had to make extenders for the admiral motors, too short. The main kit went well, but retract system needs improvements.”

“i bought this product as an ARF but ordered everything needed except the transmitter, receiver, and batteries. given my encounter with all the problems i now wish i had bought in a PNP or BNF model, i've invested about forty to fifty hours in assembling and i'm still several hours short of having it done, in the process of handling i managed to bust up a part of the canopy, had trouble with trying to get the servo wire from the elevator down through the rudder area, when the string used broke, and now after mounting the engine cowling ( using the electric motors) i find the prop shaft is about fifteen mm short of what i need in order to put the props on also i can't seem to torque the landing gear set screw tight enough that the shaft don't turn and wind up with the main gear wheels at an angle. anyway for anyone contemplating building this one, buy the PNP verion instead and save some time and frustration”
