“The struts are of substandard quality—set screws fail to secure them properly, allowing the struts to be twisted easily by hand. On two units, the set screw holes are oversized relative to the screws, compromising structural integrity. Additionally, the wing's pre-drilled mounting holes are misaligned, resulting in an incorrect installation angle.”

“Here is the quick summary, terrible value, cheap quality retracts, good build quality, poor covering quality, EXCELLENT flier. So, for what you pay, this is WAY OVERPRICED!! Plane is vinyl covered and look great. However, if you get anything on it, I mean anything, the paint smears. CA Accelerator, yup, paint ruined, alcohol, yup ruined, water, yup ruined. The instructions say to clean with Kerosene if you don't want it to smear!! They clearly need to do something different. Still, it all looks good. The build quality is good. Everything fit together without major modifications. The control surfaces are pre-hinged with CA hinges. The control horns and rods are not great quality and the servos are just surfaced mounted, instead of in pockets and hidden. Servo wires were easy to run. Motor mounts was easy to setup and get positioned for the Leopard Motor I installed. The cowling was also easy to position and put in place. The add on plastic parts are brittle and break easily, so be careful with those. The stickers applied easily and have held on well. Overall, the build went fairly quickly and was not difficult and everything fit together well. The retracts? Cheap plastic retracts with ok quality struts. WAY OVERPRICED for what you get. These should be $50 tops, not what they are asking. You will need to file flat spots to keep the wheels pointed the right direction. Honestly for the price of the model they should have been included. Compare this to say a Phoenix Models, for the same money the retracts are included and are substantially better, all metal and with a controller. I think between the poor covering and the gear, that has what has given this a 2 star. What brings this back up to a 3 star is how well it flies. It is fantastic! BUT a large part of that is the power setup I chose and it was not the recommended setup. I went with a Leopard 5065-6T 430kv running with a 100amp ESC and a 6000mah 6s and a 16x10 XOAR prop. She is an amazing flier, lands easy. Take offs are smooth and easy. Really redeeming after being disappointed with feeling like I overpaid for what I got. There aren't many options in this size for a Spitfire so it's either this or foam.”

“I have built and flown six Nexa kits at this point and I am not a review writing person but if you are reading this do not and I repeat do not buy the ESC that they recommend with these airplanes ...they are garbage and they have 3 in of wire coming off of them... My nexa MP40 I'm running a Avion 500 KV motor and a e-flite 70 amp ESC and I'm only pulling 46 amps at a 1100 watts at full throttle with the master air screw 14x9 3 blade prop.... On my spitfire I bought the recommended ESC and it's pulling 62 amps at 3/4 throttle with a 16 x 8 3 blade prop and I'm using the admiral 400 KV motor.... This plane has no ventilation holes in the front of it to cool the ESC and motor in the first place if you run a prop spinner at all there's no air getting to either the ESC or the motor...if you run the recommended prop with this plane 15 x 7 and this plane weighs right at 6 lb without a battery it is way too underpowered and at full throttle it flies like a RTF dynam...my p40 with the avian 500kv and 14 x 9 prop reaches over 90 mph and with full throws is fully aerobatic....Nexa isn't for everyone but they are attractive solid planes once you get them together and overcome the weak motor mount design and retract headaches...but stay away from an Esc that will fit in a cigarette pack rated at 65 amps...don't be mislead by the ESC amps are only based on the draw of the motor and prop...I changed the ESC and now the same watt meter shows 55 amps at full throttle..”
