Still assembling it; haven't flown it yet it appears to be a sturdy ARF. My only comment would be is the motion RC website indicates you need four micro servos when in reality you need six standard servos or two standard servos and two iintermediate non- standard size

Well made and the scale colour scheme is something different for a piper cub. Burda team ran from 1955 to 1973 I actually built the Hegi kit in 1973 (now not available) so some nostalgia there!!

This is my first RC ARF build. I have a long history of balsa wood paper and ‘dope’ construction man, many years ago. I ordered this plane because of the type of material used. It has been a good teaching tool. I am still trying to understand why the construction is inconsistent. For example, the wings, vertical stablizer and rudder are fairly well done, the plastic two piece landing gear and wheel covers are not so. They don’t fit well and are not symetrical. This is in stark contrast to the landing gear structure itself. There is a right and left piece of sturdy metal with machine screws into blind nuts that are imbedded in a hardwood of some kind. I will take a photo of the completed plane then remove the gear covers for flying. I imagine they wil flap in the breeze. I may edit this review later. I am pleased with the plane and will try another later.

This is a quality kit, and it is a kit despite being pre-covered and mostly built. It does require some basic balsa model understanding since you have to join stab surfaces and hinges, as well as add control horns, and if electric, modify the motor mount. You also need to supply Motor, ESC, Batt, and servos with extensions. So it is a bit of a build kit. The covering is very nice, and professional applied, and the looks are great. I found the .46 size motor too much for this model for scale flight, so I dropped in a .32 instead. Flys like a giant trainer, and very graceful. It is a great looking/flying model and well worth the price, as you do get alot for just a little.

Just maidened my new Burda today, 3 full flights with nothing but thumbs up. A couple of clicks of down elevator and it was straight as an arrow. Very scale looking and handles with excellent predictability! Good ARF kit!!
