“The PA-22 is my third NEXA model. I enjoy building and flying these ARF planes. The overall quality of the Tri-Pacer is good. One disappointment of this model is that the 5030 motor that you recommend will not fit in this airplane with the supplied hardware. There is about 3mm of clearance from the motor housing to the mounting bolts when the motor is installed. The required nuts and washers can not be inserted or seared. I purchased a 600KV motor that should work fine with a 13/6 or 13/10 prop.Testing your products before recommending them would save us modelers a lot of headaches.Thank you”

“Poor instructions have seen better kits! Looks good. The wings are held in place with screws going through top of wing into the wing tube! Most all others kits have a bolt going from inside fuselage into wing root! The cowl could be cut by the builder for a better fit! Canopy is hard to reinstall with main wings on, because wind screen makes it too large( wide ). I still have to fly it, so it will de the deciding factor if it is a good choice! Also the door is useless to use for access in the fuselage with the wing on!”

“Vin Quang (sold here as Nexa) builds very nice models. That being said, they require some experience to assemble, with many tasks that more modern manufacturers do for you being left to the modeler, such as installing blind nuts for the motor mount and drilling holes for pushrods as well as numerous other tasks including control horns, etc. Buyers need to be prepared to do these things. This is NOT a complaint, but an observation. I move very slowly and have not finished assembly or flown this model yet.”

“The kit comes in a large , double cardboard box with all the parts and pieces wrapped in heavy duty clear plastic, all secured in the box with tape. A corner compartment contains the nice fiberglass cowl, wheel pants and some other items all wrapped and secured in place. A large plastic bag contains all the hardware. The kit is built of lite ply and balsa, laser cut and nicely assembled. The front windshield and instrument panel are magnetically held in place and remove easily for battery access. A cabin door on the right side for access into the servo area has nice hinges and is magnetically held shut. The front nose gear and mount are heavy duty ,nicely made, and the main gear is also a sturdy aluminum with trim plastic pieces for covers. The locations for the elevator and rudder and throttle servos are all laser cut, along with the slots for battery straps if you decide to go electric as I opted to do with mine. The manual is straight forward , good illustrations and easy to follow. The fuselage, main wing halves, horizontal stab ,two elevator pieces ,vertical fin , rudder are all nicely covered with a plastic covering , the paint scheme is really an eye catcher and very nicely done. The aluminum wing tube fits the tube sockets in the wing halves and fuselage very nicely, I did deburr and polish the ends of the aluminum tube to make sure it didn't damage any of the tube sockets. Now, to a few items on the negative list that I encountered during the build. The cutouts for the aileron and flap servos in the wing are a little small and need to be enlarged, easily done with the Dremel. The locations for the control horns for the ailerons and flaps are not cut in the correct places, they were cut centerline behind the servo openings. The horizontal stab has a slot cut in it to receive the tab on the bottom of the vertical fin. I found the length of the tab on the bottom edge of the vertical fin too short and would not lock into the horizontal stab, I lengthened the tab. Being my first ARF to ever buy I think this little cutie is a good choice, it will look great setting next to my 97 , Saito 1.80 powered Tri-Pacer, also red and white. Nice weather is coming, anxious to see this beauty in the air.”

“Very nice aircraft. Build was easy, instructions were lacking. Somewhat disappointed that the nose gear didn't match the photos. First flight with a 12x8 prop ended with an underpowered airplane, uped to a 14x8.5 and problem solved! Airplane is over 10 lbs so some power is needed, I use a 6S system. Flight is smooth and predictable. Needs a little power on landing. Beautiful in flight.”

“I have built well over 100 kits in the past 20 years from GP, Top flite, midwest, ohio, balsa usa, CG, Pica etc… but I have to tell you that this ARF Tripacer is very, very well built and finished, even the firewall and interior are painted in gray, has seats and a instrument door, to make it even nicer it has a working door! I use to own a full scale trypacer and this one brings lots of memories back… Excellent quality.”
