“Well I messed up the landing on the maiden by hitting a large rock on the side of the field. Decent quality materials and build for an arf. Modify the flap controls, the plans show a hidden control wire. Simplify the flap control with a straight wire.I think all I need is a new right wing, but I felt it was pricey compared to a new kit. The motor mount at the firewall popped straight off with little damage. That showed me that the glue at the factory was a bit on the sparse side, plus it looked like a super glue. If I can fit it back together, I will use 30-minute epoxy.”

“I brought this plane and have flown it several times. I'm quite fond of it now. The construction is pretty solid. Definitely worth the money. I enjoy flying it and doing snappy aerobatics. That's where it seems to thrive the most. It was a tail heavy at first but I neutralized that with some lead weights. Double check your CG!It is a relatively fast model and the flaps you have will be needed for landings or you can get some slower flights out of it too. I'd say the landing gear mounts and landing gear itself could be much better but they work pretty well if you don't bring it in too harsh. Ive gotten a lot of compliments on how this plane looks. I love that!”

“This is my first time buying a Nexa brand model and overall I'm satisfied with the plane - there are just a few things that aren't up to par. Absolutely love flying it. It's a very beautiful plane and flies very well. Will be a great aerobatic performer I can tell.My few frustrations are:Wheel pants are flimsy and poorly designed - don't like grass fields (like most wheel pans) but they are just too flimsy - One broke on my second flight so I'm just going to remove them. The instructions are pretty vague. If you're built any planes before you'll be fine, but they aren't impressive. These planes aren't covered in standard plastic coating like most models (monokote or ultrakote) - they are some kind of vinyl psa sheet. I have mixed feelings about it - it looks nice and is easy to repair (they give you some repair sheets in the kit) I guess time will tell how it holds up. It does shrink with a heat gun like traditional plastic covering. The spinner included in the box is cheap crap - throw it away and buy a Dubro or aluminum spinner.Model wants to be really tail heavy. I'm running a Saito .91 four stroke and it was extremely tail heavy. I ended up modifying the rudder servo to move it from the rear fuselage to inside the fuse (like it should be and is on most every other model - there's plenty of room for it) and it's STILL tail heavy. Added a ton of nose weight to get CG close. You don't want to fly this plane with CG anywhere behind the recommended 3" Other than that - I absolutely love the plane and it's a ton of fun to fly. I would buy another Nexa plane without hesitation.”

“Haven’t set up and flown her yet, but I pulled out of box to inspect and at least got wings, tail feathers, and cowl dry-mounted and setup on the bench, and it’s a very nicely and cleanly done model consistent with nexa/vq quality. I love how thick and girthy the fuse is. Like a fat guppy lol. I’m going to do the math of the weight of the recommended 2x 4s series setup (8s ) and compare that weight to the single 6s/5000mah/500-550kv/100a esc setup I plan to run on it in order to determine what additional weight I need to add to the nose to achieve cg. But I have no worries that it will fly with yards of power on 6s, and looking forward to setting her up this winter along with my nexa grasshopper and agwagon.”
