“Build went well. After building several planes, you kinda understand where and what you need to do even if the directions are vague. I built my plane electric, first thing I'll say is, drilling holes for the motor mount the two bottom holes where they said to line up drilled right into the battery tray. Wasn't a big deal, just didn't expect that to happen. Wasn't a big fan of running cables for the rudder, first time I had to use a crimper on a model plane. Maiden flight, CG was spot on. Took off very smooth, flew around the pattern 4 times, didn't need much trim. On my last pass over the field the plane started going right, left aileron and left rudder didn't make a difference. Plane continued veering right and smacked a tree. Checked the radio, no loss of signal, all Hi-Tec servos still working. Left about 5 of us dumb founded why this happened, I don't crash that often, been in the hobby 12 years and fly often. Since I had the electronics I went ahead and bought another Taipan. Fingers crossed, this one lasts longer. I fly the Great Planes Ultra Sport a lot, love that plane, which is why I wanted something similiar. The Ultra Sport flies on rails, hoping the second time with the Taipan this one flies the same.”

“Easy ARF to build. Aircraft flys well. Haven’t got too many flights on it but can already tell I’ll enjoy it. Only cons I have are the retracts that you have to buy separately if you don’t want to use fixed gear and it is very hard to justify spending 100 + dollars for them. (Thought I reviewed this already but I added more pictures)”

“The kit was easy to build. Hardware quality is ok however I upgraded all my control surface hardware to 440 connections. The recommended servos work great in this airframe and the only thing I can really ding it on is it doesn’t come with the retracts just fixed gear. However you can purchase the retract set from right here on motion. The plane looks so much better with the retracts and they work well. I have mine powered with a 50 size motor that’s 525 kv on 6s with a 60 amp esc and 13x10 prop pulling around 1200 watts so it is very fast and has great power to weight ratio. I found the recommended cg is good and I am running a 6 channel sport rx with no gyro.”

“Low quality. The covering is awful and unfixable. Was not able to get any dihedral in the wings the way they were built and now I have an unstable airplane that I can't fly now.”

“The covering material is self-stick rather than iron on and the color comes off if cleaned with alcohol, so using glow power is not a good idea. The elevator and rudder control set up in the manual does not match the parts provided, and neither will fit the fuselage as built. The manual also shows the wings joined with normal dihedral. The kit parts go together with no dihedral at all which will make the airplane unstable in level flight. Unfortunately, I threw away the packaging, so I can't return it. I will try to fix the problems and then either give it away or throw it away.”
