“This is a good quality retract but it has a couple of flaws. It needs a steering arm that can be attached to either a left or right set up. Think pull, pull cables. The arm should also be made of metal instead of plastic so that the set screw can be tightened to the nose strut without stripping due to the loads placed on it during take off and landing.”

“This is a fairly large and strong appearing/ good working unit. I needed one with the mounting plate under the unit (this one allows mounting options either way.) The unit accepted 5mm struts with no issues and installed well. Caution as it may need a servo reverser installed depending upon your brand of main gear (mine needed one.)”

“The pin holding the nose strut to the retract is too small in diameter and bends with even gentle landings. I have bent two in the first 4 landings. Real defect. I am going to fixed gear. BEWARE!”
