I've bought two of these to build custom edf's with and they've worked great. Fit 28-29 mm inrunners with 4mm shafts nicely. Also running a 28mm outrunner in another setup using this edf unit. They are a little more efficient fan design than the older freewing outrunner fan (only draw 1 extra amp for 200 extra grams of thrust!). Very minimal balancing needed, I've been able to get them to run smooth just clocking the cone, and if that is not enough add small pieces of painters tape inside the cone where needed.
