“I bought just one extra when I ordered the FW-190 D-9. After the second one broke, I had some Master Airscrew 9x6 electric props but there were two issues:1) I had to drill out the hub because the MA hub opening was too small for the motor shaft. Not a big deal because I had both SAE and Metric prop reamers. I ended up using the SAE on the MA prop.2) After drilling out the hub, I realized that the blade twist at the hub on the MA was too shallow and it would not clear the screw pillars on the back plate to allow the prop to be tightened down to the back plate. No good deed goes unpunished. So, it's back to the Flightline props, even though they're nowhere near the strength and quality of the MA glass-filled. That's probably a good thing for a belly-lander: the weak prop breaks instead of a stronger MA prop bending a motor shaft.”
