“I'm writing this review to give a heads up to people on building this heli. I really like this kit, the body is awsome. I did make some changes. I got graphics from Calli graphics which turned out great, I installed uni-light nav lights along with a spotlight and a flip out spotlight. Extra work but worth it. I did run into issues when setting up the mechanics. The instruction manual is wrong on the control linkage lengths for the servos controlling alli, pitch and elevator. the head set up is also wrong and shows the wrong head and setup for this heli in the instructions. I belive it shows the setup for bell 407. So you will have to figure out all the control linkages lenghts on your own. not to difficult but a pain. I have built several helis in the past and that helped me alot. I did have to cut the bell crank for the ruder push rods as it didn't. fit in the fuselage. I might swicth it out for a flexable push rod. So far I am enjoying the build and don't have much more to do before flying time comes.”

“Great Roban quality kit arrived robustly packaged, as is typical with their products. All parts were present & well packaged in logical groups, also. Roban’s paint finishes are excellent and this B412 is no exception, with a minor squawk I will mention below. Mechanically, the B412 follows Roban’s proven recipe & will pose no problems with assembly for an experienced heli modeler. It’s no secret that Roban suffers with their manuals photo clarity so a first time builder may feel lost. Careful review of available forums topics should resolve those issues. I gave 4 stars to this B412 for these squawks: 1. As supplied, the tail rotor torque tube angled gearbox bottoms out in the rear fuselage & does not allow room for the 45 degree pushrod bellcrank. I substituted a flexible Sullivan GoldenRod for the supplied linkage instead of sanding the forward edge of the rear fuselage to gain clearance. 2. If you are a detail purist, will need to repaint both wire cutters & windshield frame flat black. Also, 3 antennas are supplied but location holes are only drilled for 1...and it is an incorrect antenna for the Canadian CH-146 Griffon version of the B412. These are easy details to fix. Overall, a great Roban helicopter & I am well pleased with this purchase.”
