I finished installing the Phoenixtech mechanics and have it flying. I made an adapter to use the Roban rear frame mounts with my frame. This let me move the mechanics forward of the rear struts but still keep the main rotor behind the removable bubble. The rudder servo is now mounted on an extension to the upper shelf at the back of the frame. I bought M3 tee nuts for use in the Roban plywood floor and an assortment of hex head M3 screws for all of the assembly (the kit comes with Phillips head screws - but there is not enough room inside the body to reach with a screwdriver). Attached are photos of what worked for me...

The fiberglass work is absolutely beautiful. This review looses a star because the install of the Phoenixtech 600 mechanics is a "cut-to-fit/paint-to-match" challenge that I'm still figuring out. The body comes with an embedded 1/8" plywood floor and 2 rear M3 T-nuts. If you use them with the stock Phoenixtech rear mount, it puts the elevator mechanics too far forward (forcing you to cut the beautiful removable bubble front piece. So I'm building an adaptor to position the mechanics in the middle of the dog house opening. The other challenge is to shim the body mounts so that the tail boom ends up complementing the fiberglass tail piece angle. Lastly (I'm not there yet), the rudder servo will not fit in the stock position (the MD-500 tapers back there), so I will have to re-mount and use a bell crank to connect to the stock control rod. I'm still hopeful for a flight soon...
