“Beautiful kit, packaged superb and shipped very fast. I wouldn't call it and ARF, but more like a ARA (almost ready to assemble), Lots of work to assemble, definitely not for a novice builder. Assembly is straight forward and parts fits very well. The instructions leave a lot to be desired and are typical Chinese instructions. No information as to installing radio equipment, other than servos. Would I buy another Roban model...heck yeah!”

“I received the Roban MD500 Magnum PI edition and was dumb founded. The packaging was superb, and the paint and finish were excellent. The pre-installed forward windows were flawless, and the doors opened and closed perfectly. When compared to a couple of other Roban 700-800 Heli's I've purchased, this one stands out by far as the best in quality and size! I was told this is actually 1/5 scale and it looks like a 10" figure would fit nicely inside the cockpit, and I'm also planning on tinting the windows. Looking forward to getting more into it.”

“You either love Roban or you strongly wish they would make a few changes or expand their options. I personally like their helicopters but they leave a lot to the individual for scale up. I chose the Magnum PI because I was a fan of the show as a child, however my project started if I could find and make a lifelike TC to sit up front. For me, a scale heli is nothing without the pilot.The building of the helicopter is straight forward. USE LOCTITE on all applicable parts or you just threw money down the drain. I use Ikon flight controllers and Egodrift motors 550 kv.”

“I got it all finished and flying now, it didn't me take to long from the box to the air considering I had to order servos and all that, she flies great and looks awesome, I haven't installed the scale antennas because I know I will break them off, want to wait until I get my transport dolly made first. “It arrived very well packed, no damage at all, very nice paint finish, no way could I even think about painting one like this, it looks awesome, its going together nicely as well, one thing though, the cockpit is made out of thin wood, so be careful handling it and be prepared to add some more glue to the joints, lights look great too, but one thing needs attention, the landing light on the front, the real one has the light lower down on the front canopy and the hole that looks like they want you to install is really the wrong locationfit and finish is very nice. instructions are the worst there is I think, hope you have a few builds under your belt before you take on a Roban project, I also have the AH-6 and it flies perfect so I'm sure this one will to when I get it finished.”
