“This model is nicely made and equipped. However, having said that, I must also say that the "instructions" are basically non-existent. There's no manual, no guide to which servos do what, and don't get me started on setting-up the flybarless controller! No idea of even the basic presets for this model should be! I could set up a paperweight more easily. In the Motion RC videos, Wesley has someone else actually flying the model, while he does the talking. I believe that the MicroBeast XL FBC is the second or third iteration of controllers that they have used on this model. While the MicroBeast controller has rave reviews all over the internet, it doesn't help anyone trying to set-up the controller for this specific model.”

“So, since my last review in 2020, I have yet been able to get parts for this heli. I was emailed today that the rotor head was finally available for purchase after waiting a year or more (yes this heli has been nothing but a static display on my bench for most of the time I have owned it)...the rotor head bearing and blade grip failed which caused a crash and bent the main shaft as well as the linkages. For whatever reason the rotor parts, blade girps, main shaft, main gear, drive belt, and servos have been a HUGE problem in keeping in stock. After getting the email the main rotor head was FINALLY in stock, it was sold out in a very short time...meaning many people with this heli have experienced the same problem. This is just my recommendation...do not buy this heli...it WILL fail, and when it does...good luck getting parts...you cant find them anywhere other that here. Just be aware of what you are getting into before you spend this much money on this heli.”

“This was my first heli that I installed my own flight controller and had to set up from scratch. I used the 6250hx so I could have the auto leveling option. Took about a dozen flights to get her trimmed out proper and find the ideal head speed, tail gains, etc . But, now that she's dialed in, what an awesome bird! Flew today in some 20+mph wind and she took it like a champ. Highly recommend if you have moderate experience and are looking for a fun 450 size scale heli. Lots of optional 3d print scale bits out there to customize.”

“Very good project 95% of the work is done for you. I'm not new to the rc world but, I'm new to rc helis. Yeas it's my 1st bird. I find it easy to take off and hover. Still learning to fly and do basic flight maneuvers. I found it easy to install a 4 blade rotor head and 4 blade tail rotor. With the right settings it's quite docile. Becareful it can get a way from you fast if you're not careful. The paint and quality of the product is awesome. I even bought the 450 size huey. Need time to assemble and program it. Mtf.
