“I got this to use to fly inside this winter. I have many other sizes and types as well. Flew good but due to the colors and the indoor colors and lighting I had a bit of difficulty seeing orientation at times. Not a youngster I'm 67 so I will soon get to try it out more flying it outside.”

“This RotorScale F1 180 is a poor quality heli. When arrived, the tail blades was just laying in the box and the center hole was so loose it couldn't be reinstalled. I used the spare tail blade. Then I had a minor mishap, and broke the tail blade. No spare, no parts available! Also, after the the 10th flight, the main pinion gear on the motor came loose and was told by tech service i needed to JB Weld glue it back on. Especially because of parts availability, I would not buy this heli!! It sits useless now........ only about 15, tame, flights on it.”

“The buying experience was ok. However, when I received the heli, the tail blades was off & sitting in the carton. The tail blades was too loose to put back on & use. Had to use the spare which is just pushed on. Then after about 12 slow hovering flights the main drive pinon gear became loose & fell off. Not under warranty due to having just 12 flights. I would not recommend this heli. Poor quality. I couldn't imaging anyone doing 3d for any length of time!”

“Haven’t flown a RC helicopter in 12 years so I was nervous. The Rotor Scale F1 is fun to fly and a very capable little helicopter. Price was good for a 180 size collective pitch heli. I am enjoying it very much.”

“First off I've flown larger helicopters. I bought this to better my skills with a cheaper model before advancing skills on my more expensive models. 1st flight had in a steady hover and the tail boom flew out of the housing and sent everything into a tailspin and destroyed most of it. Everything I need to replace is out of stock. Didn't expect a brand new heli to destroy itself on 1st flight. Motion was no help providing any warranty with just an oh well sh*t happens. Thought people had good luck with motions warranties not this pilot”

“Would’ve given this 5stars except for one minor issue: there’s not low voltage cutoff on ESC so make sure you set your timer for3min for 3D and 4min for stabalized mode. Otherwise great heli, perfect size and price, quality construction and reasonably durable. Flys smooth, responsive and stable, a big step up from the 110 size with brushed motor, the brushless tail motor is very responsive great rudder authority. This might be a little too much for a 1st time heli pilot, unless they’re very very careful, it’ll get away from you in a blink of an eye, but also makes it fun. This is the perfect size between 200 size and 100 size, small enough to fly in a large yard or street,but big enough to see and orient to. Very very stable too.Just have a low voltage cutoff on ESC and it’s PERFECT. Just remember to set a timer before taking off”
