“This is a great plane looks great and flys nice I recommend putting a Reflux gyro in I’ve tried the gyros that Motion RC sells but I’ve had a very bad experience with that but flys great, fast, and looks good.”

“I was really looking forward to flying this plane BUT, it never even flew. I put the recommended battery in it, got the CG according to the manual and checked it. I even but an ORX gyro in it (That comes in the same size and line of planes from a competitor) Checked it and it was all systems go! On first toss it nosed over and smashed the front end. Okay, maybe my fault. Repaired the plane (Had to cut the top half of the nose off to get to the motor and firewall). got it fixed, checked everything and tried again. Hand launched it and nosed over and hit the deck, again. Didn't smash anything that time, so I tried again. Tossed it again and it nosed over and smashed it so bad the motor shaft was bent. I'm no RC expert, but I can fly and this plane is trash! I have flown (Via hand launch) the F4U Corsair a dozen times with zero issue. So disappointed! I'm not saying I'm not 100% without fault, that wouldn't be fair, but I have never had a plane absolutely refuse to fly like this one. There goes 145.00 bucks down the drain. The plane is nothing but wall art now and because I'm so disgusted with it, will throw it in the trash next trash day. I'm done with motion RC....and I've spent A LOT of money with them.”

“The finish is super and the paint looks really cool! This plane has kind of a small battery bay that makes it difficult to fit a gyro, receiver and everything else. I got creative and hollowed out some foam in the wing under the battery tray and mounted my receiver on the bottom of the battery tray.[Lemon 6 channel] I mounted a hobby eagle gyro on the top side of the battery tray towards the back. I think gyros are almost essential on these smaller planes. I ran it on a 3s battery first and found I was flying around full throttle all the time. this wont do. I installed a 40 amp esc in the place of the original 20 and run it on a 4s battery. 1000mah all the way forward. it flies with authority now! very stable and aerobatic, good power! I did the same with the Sky raider and it was quite a bit easier with that one! Highly recommended!”

“Assembled very easily and flys very nice. I am using an MSR66A gyro receiver though as my only other RC plane experience has been the little 400mm volantex warbirds. This Skynetic Tempest seems to be very capable though.I have used 1000mah and 2200mah admiral packs and both worked fine. The 2200 I had to make room for my receiver under the battery tray. This plane is perfect for my backyard too and I would like to see other models in this 750-850mm range.”
