“This is my 6th tank by Torro and I'm still amazed by the detail and functionality they put into their tanks.
I purchased this as an open box and the description of the issues listed by Motion was pretty accurate in regards to the tank. The only thing they missed was the fact that the wires from the front lights were too short from the factory making it impossible to attach the turret traverse unit to the turret without lenghening the wires (re-routing was not possible either). Also, two wires were disconnected from a small pcb that I found in the bottom of the box. There were no screws for the traverse unit or the pcb (5 screws) in the tank or the box. This and the fact that the wires were too short from the factory and there were no threads in the standoffs, which are normally left after installing self tapping or wood screws, lead me to believe it was packed this way at the factory (shame on Torro for that).
There were two small pieces that were broken off the upper body of the tank (most likely from shipping), one was easily glued back on and the other, the training led on the turret, which I removed because that was only ever used in rare training exercises and looked out of place anyway.
After about 2hrs worth of repairs to the turret traverse unit and wiring, I now have a beautiful Leopard tank that functions and runs perfectly at an amazing price thanks to Motion RC.”
