“These seem to be the weak point of these helicopters, but if the did not break how they do; damage to the helicopters would be more catastrophic. Especially to the main rotor shaft. I keep an extra just in case.”

“This is a great swashplate because of an episode where I was flying and side sliding at a high enough rate of speed that the helicopter hit a window; tail first, and broke the tail section off.I put the guts of the crashed heli into another shell, and noticed something not right. After examining the assembly. I noticed that the swashplate had seperated, but the tiny bearings were still intact. I applied a bit of pressure, and snapped it back together, and the heli flies great. If the swashplate had not popped apart at time of impact; I would imagine much more catastrophic damage to driveshaft etc.”
