“After I flew this plane a few times I decided to convert it to a VTOL Quad Plane. I did this conversion so that I would not have to hand launch and have it scratched and gouged when landing on rough ground. The conversion was not that difficult to do, and using a Matek H743 WLITE flight controller running Ardupilot lets me take off and land with out the need of a runway. I have tried converting a few other planes to VTOL, but the Skyhunter has turned out to be the best one. I fly this plane FPV and it is a very stable platform for taking videos. I am really looking forward to flying this plane for a long time to come.”

“This is my second Skyhunter. The first one ended up in a very tall tree, and was totaled. Parts of it are still in the tree.My new one showed up in perfect condition. The only thing that I was not expecting was the motor that came with it is not the same as in the description. The product description lists a 2820 motor and the one it arrived with is a 3542. The motor was missing a washer for the prop adapter, which is necessary to be able to tighten the prop. Other than that the rest of the plane is perfect and should fly very well. I just have to avoid the trees LOL.”

“Awfull fragile thing balanced the cg and ctill crashed on maidenAileron and elevator servos had little or no movement elevator servo did not work.second flight with replacement servos went better but wing bolt nut in body came loose and aircraft crashed and broke wing as wing came undone.magnets fell off hatch on day one .cant send it back because its destroyed..Piss poor QC Very disappointed on my limited budget wont EVER buy another Total Junk”

“Wide variety of electronic hardware to fit in this aircraft, options of gimbals, it takes some diy on some stuff like landing gear. But what doesn’t? Super efficient, it’s for sure a really good aircraft to fly long range FPV. Use lithium ION packs. You’ll blow your own mind if you get it up to 20,000mah.CG is right where the wires would be for the ailerons. Flies greatLaunching it is a little bit of a fuss. But most likely just have to tune my autopilot. It dips down after it leaves your hand. Hence why I’m adding landing gear”

“Great model easy to work with a lot of room to add mods.flies great with landing gear.Being in helicopter crash , I now have problems with my arms,so hand launching is a problem.so installed a full bottom ply floor in my first Skyhunter 1800 with trike landing gear from spare parts I had in my shop. Then machined new hubs with ball bearings for axles. This worked very well, I will include pictures of my first one.Now my second skyhunter I am turning into a hybrid Cessna 377 O-2 pull and push model,June or July 2024 for maiden flight. Will have pictures to incurage more pilots, this is a great airframe for projects .”
