“This is a fun relatively simple plane with a lot of potential! It could be a beginner's first plane, or a great FPV platform! While small, it has room for a GPS and flight controller. It's so easy to take apart, no tools are required and it can easily fit in a small backpack! It's not made for aerobatics, but can do basic loops and rolls.”

“I am totally fond of this plane. Can do basic acrobatics, including death spiral, fly slow and fly fast, and even glide. I fly 'on sight', so no FPV, and it's fun. I mostly fly under 250 grams (free to fly in the Netherlands, outside no-fly zones), 2S 800 mAh. Without gliding, I reach some 25 minutes flight time! When using a LionPack 2S 3500 mAh, I flew up to an hour (to long for my neck ;-) ).There is a facebook page of Drift owners: https://www.facebook.com/groups/179220420050937And this is a clip I made myself, using a camera on my head. In the first part I practice gliding, the second part is about moves ;-)https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ttExSjLNxDg&t=2sI also crashed my Drift more than once. So I've bought extra planes. I now have some 'spare material' from which I am building a modified Drift: adding a rudder.”

“I absolutely adore this little airframe. I've got it paired with a ZOHD Kopilot Lite module, which is a dream pairing. Together I've been able to pass the controls over to complete beginners, and they've been able to handle it with ease. It's got nice glide characteristics, and you can get some really good airtime with it. I'm running it with a 2S 1500mAh setup, and I'm uselly bored after 30 minutes or so before the battery is anywhere near flat, so no idea what kind of flight times you can get! The wings unclip very simply for transport of required, but it's a small design that you can put it in your car easily enough without. I've had it up in some reasonably stiff winds without too much bother, but it doesn't have the biggest or fastest motor, so at one point it's getting blown down range faster that it can make it back up. Only real downside I've got with it is the dive characteristics. It seems to have a nasty habit when you dive, of being unrecoverable. Only happens at high speed, which makes it especially catastrophic. Low speed dives have no problem whatsoever, but high speed... I've written off a body that way. But - it's modular, so just pop a new body in (or just hotglue the old one back together....) and away you go.I've also written off a body and a wing by flying it into a wall at high speed, but that is entirely on me.”

“I was drawn to the ZOHD Drift by a couple of factors - FPV ready, and a very reasonable price. Honestly, I'm rather surprised this little plane hasn't garnered more attention here on MRC. The plane comes with two props, a two blade for 2S power, and a 3 blade for 3S power. The Admiral 3S 1000 mAh battery fits nicely in the battery compartment. After a nearly seven and a half minute flight, with the battery also powering the FPV camera/Tx, I still had a decent amount of battery left. Despite the small size of the motor and prop, the plane has ample power, and will cruise along well at mid-throttle.One caveat is that the plane does better with a slight amount of uptrim on the elevator. Without this, the plane has a bad tendency to dive, with the result being a twitchy feel to the flight. Once I added the uptrim, the plane behaved much better, and the flight was vastly more enjoyable. The molded-in slot for the FPV camera fit the Wolfwhoop WT02-D camera/Tx combo quite well. The WT03 camera/Tx with the cloverleaf antenna is a tighter fit, with the antenna barely tall enough to work with the slot provided for it. The plane assembles easily, and the only caution I would make is to be careful and check the alignment of the integrated wing servo connections. The plane is strictly bank 'n' yank, with no provision for rudder control. While not designed for aerobatics, it will handle some basic stunts. For anyone who has thought about trying FPV flying, the Drift offers a budget-friendly, easy to fly option.”

“Good quality. Unfortunately flying performance sucks. It flies too fast and unstable. This size plane could be done with a wing with slow flight performance and more v-shape”
