“I have three of the ZTW Mantis ESC's at I run in 6 cell planesand they are all performing great. The timing is smooth, with no jerky starts as some otheres I've had.”
“I bought this ESC for an old Sea Bee that I converted from glow to electric power. It seems to work as it should. I measured 70 Amps, so an 85A ESC should provide enough headroom for cooling when in high-power pulse-width-modulation. I may eventually buy the programmer, but the ESC defaults are perfect, so no need at this time.”

“Very hard to find a ESC that can handle 8S for under $100. This one is and comes with many extras. Such as motor connectors already on. As well as battery connector. In this case XT-90. Also has an extra long receiver wire. These three items are a plus when installing. Saves time and money. Physical size is normal for 80 amp ESC, even though it has huge cooling fins plus holes drilled down the sides for additional cooling. Now on to performance. Great. Does what it is suppose to. One thing that is noticeable is the lack of beeps when hooking up battery. Typically the ESC beeps the amount of batteries hooked to it. Not this one. After the initial two beeps that says it is armed, I only get two more even though I have (2) 4S in series going to it. Maybe it only recognizes the two packs. Can anyone help me or confirm this? Overall it is the cat’s meow. Very very good item”
