An excellent replacement of the standard UBEC/BEC typical to Freewing ESC systems. ZTW unit supplies a clean D/C voltage not requiring an inductive magnet ring filter supplies 5/5,5/6 volt D/C at 6 amp continual supply load. Note measured typical Freewing BEC operating a EDF has a nominal flight current max load of 2Amps dependent on simultaneous operation of retracts and flight control servos, Measured 90mm T-45 .

I purchased these to give more confidence in the amp draw from a couple of my planes not being to high. I have test one so far that I added to my L-39 and it seemed to preform very well.

I used this ubec in a Pandora after I found out the hard way that the esc bec couldn't handle the extra current draw of the nav and landing lights I added. Receiver dropped out but it was low over some soft brush so only minor damage. Put this ubec in and no more problems. Later converted that plane to 4s low wing with much bigger esc but still left this ubec in. So used one in a 1450mm FMS p51 that had bec dropouts when the landing gear was actuated. Had to cut lands on the wing junction circuit board to separate the power so gear and doors run on this separate ubec. Receiver runs on the esc which a new gecko with an 8 amp bec so no more issues with receiver dropout.

Did perform well in longest evening flight contest to power gazolin ignition on a self refurbished old OS FS80, kept on going for 2 hours an 48 min. flight because fuel ran out. (1,25 ltr. gasoline mix.)
