Hello Jennifer, I am really sorry to hear this and to see that you have received damaged seeds, I can confirm our customer support manager has offered to replace the non-germinated seeds you have mentioned, however we have not been made aware of the damaged seeds you received, I will make sure that replacements of the crushed/damaged seeds are also replaced for you.

“I purchased 10 purple thai during BOGO sale. Germinated according to MSNL instructions, im a long time VIP member, and only had 4 survive into seedlings. Of the freebies, only one came up. The Purple Thai is not the “OPT†of old. Oregon Purple Thai was a legendary strain for those in the know. This was not it. The leaves were longer and stem reddish hue, not green. Germination of these seeds showed a large amount of chromosomal atypia, meaning- weird shaped leaves, sprouts with one leaf(wtf!), and hermaphrodites(5). Of 20 seeds 12 germed, rest popped but would not grow a root and cotyledons, only a weird pseudo-root looking appendage, then it turns to mush. I was not particularly pleased with Purple Thai. I put them outdoors as all plants should be. (Im so not into wasting zillions of watts of electricity for Corporate greed). As it is, i will not buy this again. The Tropicana Cookies and Dos Si Dos autos from last order stellar! 100 percent germination on both. Occasionally seeds suck. You guys cant control mother nature. I get it. However, as a regular grower for 40 years, the seeds i got were lame. 6 weeks later the biggest girl is 7 inches tall and 3 nodes growth. Thats slooooooooooow. I have 5 PT's that made it. One is a weak stemmed weak gened frail runt. Most likey it will die .
So, right now, 5/9; 4 of 20 made it to 4-6 inches from this batch i received. Kinda sucky. Im upset at the time i wasted and the energy to baby these little fellas.
I love this plant and its varieties. I just wish this was what i expected- a hearty. Vigorous growing, landrace purple thai genetically stable with no chromosomal aberrancy. A Punnett Square equation can figure out which progeny are to be the alpha seeds in the cross. The trick is picking the top 25 percent of alpha seeds from the rest. Therefore, truly ; only 1 in 4 in nature are going to the gene dominant alpha plants. I get it guys. Strawberry Cough is the BEAST and GOLD STANDARD for outdoor. I seen them 16 feet tall! My Thai will be lucky to be 8 in the fall at this current rate. I will keep you updated. Pictures enclosed of seedlings with atypia for proof. Thank you for the best customer service EVER. Your the Best in Industry in my opinion. Two thumbs up always. Bunk seeds are part of growing. Such is life. This Company always makes this right. They will read this and send out replacements for non germ before i get the time to email them usually . Thats how kind and cool this Company is to me. Only great reviews for these guys.
